(Serves 4)
Ingredients:
- 8 slices Dave’s Killer Bread (their raisin bread is DELICIOUS but any will work)
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 4 large eggs
- ¼ cup of milk
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup light vanilla Greek yogurt
- Fresh berries and cherries (can also use frozen that has been thawed ahead of time)
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup, optional
Instructions:
- Melt butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon in a large bowl. Dip each slice of bread in egg mixture coating both sides.
- Add coated bread slices to hot skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until each side is browned and golden. Repeat with the remainder of the bread.
- Top your slices of french toast with a bit of greek yogurt and your berries/cherries.
- If you’re going to add maple syrup be sure to warm it up just a bit before drizzling.
