(Serves 4)

Ingredients:

  • 4 Hass Avocados
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1-2 Roma tomatoes, finely diced
  • 1/3 cup cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 1 Jalapeno, finely diced
  • ½-¾ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed orange juice
  • Optional Garnish: cilantro leaves, Mexican Cotija Cheese (or Queso Fresco)

Instructions:

  1. Slice avocados in half, reserving pits for later.
  2. Scoop avocado out of peels and place in a bowl.
  3. Mash the avocados until the consistency is mostly smooth.
  4. Add remaining ingredients to the bowl and gently fold ingredients together.
  5. Once mixed, garnish with a few cilantro leaves and Mexican Cotija Cheese.

Tip: If you won’t be serving the guacamole right away or intend on saving some for later, add the avocado pits to your bowl along with a little extra lime juice. This will slow down the browning process that naturally happens with avocado and guacamole.
